The spatial installation One Word Per Day. 110315-130919 consists of a collection of 1648 words that were recorded daily over a period of over 4.5 years to capture each day in a condensed form. The archiving of the words forms a miniature, abstract diary.
Already in 2016, the list of words kept until then was translated into a video in which the terms are displayed on a colored background. The exact hue is determined by the cross sum of the date.
For the sequence of words in the spatial installation, also a color coding according to the days of the week is chosen. The years 2015-2019 are arranged in a ring, whereby earlier terms fade in their inscription.
The use of transparent foils creates a superimposition of the words, which, despite their chronology, have a simultaneous presence. The representation refers to human memory: even if not every information is immediately retrievable, the memory stores all temporally separated events comprehensively.
